Joe B. Collins, O.D.
Dr. Collins has years of experience in Gentle Molding. He has done clinical investigations for major contact lens companies under FDArule and understands the concepts and procedures of correcting myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism.

In the mid-1960's, when Orthokeratology was in its developmental stages, Dr. Collins received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry. He then entered the military and served as an optometrist in the United Sates Air Force. In 1969 he went into private practice and since then has built a state-of-the-art optometric facility.

In his field of eye care, Dr. Collins, is a leader. He has authored the book "Gentle Molding". Over the past several years, he has been a consultant and has lectured nationally as well as internationally on contact lenses. As a professional, Dr. Collins is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, a fellow of the Orthokeratology of America, and a member of the American Optometric Association and the Arkansas Optometric Association. He is a charter member and serves on the board of the Orthokeratology Academy of America. Dr. Collins is the founder of The Exodus Group which is a national buying, practice management, and consulting group.

Dr. Collins serves his community as a member of the Chamber of Commerce. He is a past president of the Jacksonville Rotary Club and has given support to the local Care Channel. He and his wife Henny have two daughters and four grandchildren.

 


 

 

Kevin A. Livengood, O.D.
Dr. Livengood is originally from Cedar Rapids, Iowa where he attended undergraduate in Coe College majoring in biochemistry, chemistry and general science. He completed his doctorate of optometry at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Livengood completed internships at The Eye Center in Memphis, Sites Vision Clinic in Clarksville,TN and Commonwealth Eye Surgery in Lexington, KY. He is a member of the Arkansas Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association, and the Orthokeratology Academy of America. 

While at SCO, Dr. Livengood served as student government president. He was also a member of the Gold Key National Honor Society, a national delegate to the American Optometric Association conferences in Boston and Seattle and a member of the Southern College of Optometry Board of Trustees.
